Software and Integrations
One J1600 hardware platform supports two software versions: Standard and Advanced. Standard covers single-unit, no-integration deployments; Advanced adds interoperability, APIs, and fleet capabilities.
Standard software
- Reduced to essential functions for maximum ease of use.
- Built around configuration-free teach and repeat: drive to a point, save it, reuse it in tasks.
- Designed so an existing pallet-jack operator can use it without training beyond the basic 30 minutes.
- Ideal for a single-unit deployment without systems integration.
- Touchscreen task launch and saved locations.
- Wi-Fi optional for the basic out-of-box workflow.
Advanced software
- VDA 5050 interoperability.

Upgrade rules
The Advanced upgrade is easiest to install at the factory when the robot is ordered. A partner may perform the upgrade later; customers cannot perform it themselves.
VDA 5050 and APIs
The J1600 has full VDA 5050 support. VDA 5050 is the interoperability interface that lets mobile robots from different vendors work together under a compatible fleet-management layer, and the company works with established VDA 5050 fleet-management providers. For the exact VDA 5050 version, API schema, authentication model, and supported fleet managers, contact the company or a partner.
Automation functions by level
- Basic automation: on-screen task start, saved locations, autonomous floor-level drop, self-drive to saved locations, return-to-me, go-to-parking.
- Advanced automation: come-to-me (call the robot from a mobile app or web interface), automatic charging, VDA 5050 fleet management, API integrations.

No integration required for basic use
Basic deployment needs no warehouse-management system (WMS), no fleet manager, and no IT integration; Wi-Fi is optional. Integration is a scaling option, not an entry requirement — the reasoning is part of the product's design principles.
