One J1600 hardware platform supports two software versions. This page compares them and shows the broader capability ladder from manual operation to advanced automation.

Capability ladder
The vehicle's functions build up in three levels. This ladder describes automation capabilities and is separate from the Standard/Advanced package split.

Upgrade path
The Advanced upgrade is easiest to install at the factory when the robot is ordered. A partner can perform it later on an existing robot; customers cannot install it themselves.
Choosing
- One robot, repetitive transport, fast start: Standard software covers the full teach-and-repeat workflow with about 30 minutes of operator training.
- Several robots, mixed-vendor fleet, or system integration: order the Advanced upgrade, and add Fleet Manager or a compatible VDA 5050 fleet layer as the deployment requires.
