The Mobile Robot Company works with technology partners that bring the J1600 into real customer environments and connect it to the wider automation ecosystem.
ALCA Technologies
The company collaborates with ALCA Technologies S.r.l. in Italy and publicly highlighted the collaboration and continued partnership on 8 July 2026. ALCA Technologies also supported the J1600 demonstrations at the United Symbol Open House 2026 in Sassuolo, Modena, Italy, held over three days ending 29 June 2026.
Application focus
The collaboration illustrates warehouse conditions that can disrupt rigid automation:
- broken pallets;
- loose strapping;
- hanging stretch wrap;
- dust;
- other imperfect or changing handling conditions.
The J1600 addresses these cases through dual mode: the operator uses experience and situational awareness during pallet pickup, while the vehicle performs the repetitive autonomous transport.
Presented outcomes
Less non-value-added walking; safer pallet handling; smoother material flow; higher productivity; and better adaptability in dynamic warehouse environments.
United Symbol Open House 2026
At the United Symbol Open House in Sassuolo, industry leaders and end customers from multiple industries saw dual-mode operation live and discussed warehouse efficiency, reduced manual handling, scalable automation, and everyday intralogistics problems with the team. United Symbol hosted the event; ALCA Technologies provided local support.
VDA 5050 fleet-management providers
The J1600 has full VDA 5050 support under its Advanced software, and the company works with established VDA 5050 fleet-management providers. The interface allows robots from different vendors to coexist under a compatible fleet layer. See the glossary entry for VDA 5050.
